In recent years, more and more enterprises have adopted polyferric sulfate to coagulate and decolor paper-making wastewater. The decoloring effect is up to 96%, which is better than ferrous sulfate. The sludge volume is small and dense, and the flocculation effect is good.
The electro-neutralization and bridge-building adsorption function of polyferric sulfate absorbs and settles the suspension of chromogenic groups in paper-making wastewater to achieve the effect of color removal. Polyferric sulfate is hydrolyzed to produce a large number of polynuclear complexes which can catch colored suspensions in wastewater. Ferric hydroxide formed by hydrolysis of polyferric sulfate is metal-active, and can replace the non-ferrous groups in water for wastewater with high color, quickly forming dense sludge precipitation. Commonly used chemical coagulants are poly-ferric sulfate aluminum sulfate and ferrous sulfate + hydrogen peroxide, etc. Of course, organic coagulant polyacrylamide also has very good flocculation effect, of course, its cost will be relatively high. In addition, high-color paper wastewater can also be treated by membrane separation, chemical oxidation, electroflocculation, etc. But in general, in order to improve the treatment efficiency and reduce the treatment cost, coagulation decoloration + biochemical method is mostly used.
