For PAC products themselves, it is refined from hydrochloric acid, calcium polycarbonate powder and bauxite by high-temperature and high-pressure polymerization. Hydrochloric acid is a highly corrosive liquid. Will PAC made from hydrochloric acid also be highly corrosive?
Hydrochloric acid used in the production of polyaluminium chloride is mainly used for reaction and neutralization with aluminium. It has the acid property itself, but the acidity in Polyaluminium chloride is very weak, because the PH value in the aqueous solution after hydrolysis of polyaluminium chloride is almost neutral, so it will not have the characteristics of corrosive equipment at all. Furthermore, it is added with the renewal of materials used in pipeline production today. The corrosive liquid conveyance can fully meet the requirements of the standard used, so we come to the conclusion that the use of PAC will not cause corrosiveness to the piping equipment but should avoid direct contact with the human body. Ordinary water conveyance pipelines will do corresponding anti-corrosion and anti-rust measures, and corresponding anti-corrosion components will be added to the pipelines. The main purpose is to ensure that pipes also work steadily when corrosive substances are present. A little acidity in PAC does not harm the pipeline. With the continuous improvement of technology, the pipeline has become increasingly reinforced.
Therefore, no matter from the main component analysis of PAC or the material analysis of water pipes, this material will not cause corrosion to water pipes. It is mainly used for water quality treatment.
