Spray type PAC and common PAC

According to the different production processes, PAC has two products in the current market, one is roller-type PAC and the other is spray-type PAC. What are the different uses and effects of PAC from different production processes?

First, the common polyaluminium chloride is also called roller-type polyaluminium chloride. It is produced by drying liquid polyaluminium chloride through roller drying process. It is a large-particle powder solid. It generally has brown, tan, yellow and other colors. It can be seen that there are many impurities in it, so it also becomes industrial-grade polyaluminium chloride. Drum-drying PAC is refined from bauxite, calcium aluminate powder and hydrochloric acid and is widely used in the treatment of drinking water, domestic sewage and industrial sewage. Compared with spray-dried PAC, low-content drum-dried water insolubles are higher, which are mainly used for sewage treatment. They are low-cost and easy to preserve. Therefore, they are the current products for drinking water treatment.

Spray-type polyaluminium chloride is polyaluminium chloride. The English abbreviation of spray-type polyaluminium chloride is PAC. It is a new process product of polyaluminium chloride. The acidity of spray PAC is lower than that of other inorganic flocculants. Spray-type PAC is a water-soluble material and also shows good thermal stability and solubility. Spray-type PAC is a very fine powder solid obtained from liquid PAC by spray-drying process. Strong absorption, fast flocculation and large, low turbidity dehydration. For the same water quality, spray drying products have a smaller amount than other products. Especially for highly polluted water quality, spray drying products only need half the amount of drum drying products, which not only reduces labor intensity, but also reduces customer costs. In addition, too much spray-drying products will not cause pollution, which can avoid accidents and ensure the quality of drinking water.

The spray-type PAC is characterized by higher stability and faster hydrolysis. Spray-type PAC is also more effective than roller-type PAC in some water treatment. But this is not certain. In some industrial wastewater, the roller-type PAC has better effect, which is mainly selected according to the condition of water treatment.
