The process of polyaluminum chloride

Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is an important flocculant mainly used in the field of water treatment, which can effectively remove turbid substances and suspended solids in water. The production process of polyaluminum chloride generally includes the following steps:

Raw material preparation: The main raw materials for polyaluminum chloride include aluminum hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, and aluminum containing ores. These raw materials need to be prepared in advance to ensure their purity and quality meet production requirements.

Preparation of aluminum hydroxide: By reacting aluminum containing ores or other aluminum sources with alkaline substances, aluminum hydroxide is generated. This usually involves reaction tanks or reactors, and requires control of reaction conditions to ensure high yield and product quality.

Hydrochloric acid treatment: React aluminum hydroxide with hydrochloric acid to form aluminum chloride. The purpose of this step is to dissolve aluminum into aluminum chloride, preparing for the subsequent polymerization process.

Polymerization reaction: The formed aluminum chloride is subjected to a series of polymerization reactions to increase its molecular weight and form polyaluminum chloride. This process can be achieved by adjusting reaction conditions (temperature, pressure, reaction time, etc.) and adding additives.

Product treatment: After completing the polymerization reaction, the product needs to be treated to remove impurities, adjust the properties of the product, and ensure that the product meets the specified quality standards.

Product molding: Forming processed polyaluminum chloride products, usually packaged and stored in solid or liquid form.
