Polyferric sulfate is hydrolyzed to produce a large number of (FE4 (H206), (FE2 (H20) 6), (FE (OH) 2) multi-core complexes, which agglomerate colloidal particles in water through adsorption, bridging and cross-linking. At the same time, a series of physical and chemical changes have taken place, which make them have strong power neutralization ability, thus lowering the potential of micelles, destroying the stability of micelles and promoting the rapid agglomeration and precipitation of micelles.

The solution contains a large amount of polymerized iron complex ions, which neutralizes the suspended colloidal particles in water by electricity and reduces the potential so that the colloidal particles in water rapidly condense into large particles. Colloidal particles rapidly agglomerate into large particles, at the same time, they also have the functions of adsorption and bridging, condensation of particles into large particles, accelerating particle settling, and achieving the purpose of purifying water quality.

When using, liquid sulfuric acid polyferric sulfate is usually mixed into water solution of 10~50% (directly added when raw water is turbid) and solid polyferric sulfate into water solution of 10~30%. Then according to specific conditions, the prepared solution is added according to conditions and dosage. Good coagulation effect can be obtained after full agitation.
