Reaction Process of Polyaluminum Chloride in Water Treatment

In order to make polyaluminum chloride flocculate and precipitate better, the type of polyaluminum chloride must be selected according to the quality of sewage. Only by finding the right type can we achieve twice the result with half the effort. Next, the polyaluminum chloride manufacturer will analyze the four processes of polyaluminum chloride in the proper water treatment process.

1. Agglutination stage: the process of liquid medicine injection coagulation and rapid coagulation of raw water forms fine alum in a very short time. At this moment, the water becomes more turbid, which requires that the water flow can have violent turbulence. During beaker test, it is advisable to mix quickly (250-300 rpm) for 10-30s, generally not exceeding 2min.

2. Flocculation stage: First, the process of alum flowers growing and coarsening requires proper turbulence degree and sufficient residence time (10-15min). In the later stage, it can be observed that many alum flowers are slowly sinking, forming a clear layer on the surface. In the beaker test, mix at 150 rpm for about 6 minutes, and then mix at 60 rpm for about 4 minutes until suspended.

3. Settling stage: it is the settling process of flocs in the settling tank. The water flow is required to be slow. In order to improve the power, inclined tube (plate) settling tank is generally used (it is better to use air flotation to separate flocs). Many coarse alum flowers fill the wall of inclined tube (plate) and accumulate at the bottom of the tank. The upper water is clarified water. The remaining alum flowers with small particle size and small density are slowly falling, while they continue to bump with each other, and the residual turbidity is basically unchanged in the later period. The beaker test should be carried out slowly for 5 minutes at 20-30 rpm, and then be settled for 10 minutes to measure the residual turbidity.

4. Strengthening filtration is mainly to reasonably select the filter layer structure and filter aids to improve the removal rate of the filter tank, which is an important measure to further purify water quality.
