The production of polyaluminium chloride in any process is based on hydrochloric acid and aluminium-containing raw materials, such as aluminium powder, aluminium chips, aluminium ashes, calcined alumina, calcium aluminate, aluminium hydroxide aluminium oxide, etc. When hydrochloric acid reacts with aluminium-containing materials, aluminium chloride is produced, then aluminium chloride is hydrolyzed and polymerized to form polyaluminium chloride.

For the production process using aluminium hydroxide and aluminium chloride as raw materials, the products with high salinity polyaluminium chloride can be directly produced. The filtration process can be omitted from aluminium hydroxide to realize slag-free production.

Polyaluminium chloride with high salinity has good water solubility. With physical and chemical changes such as electrochemistry, condensation, adsorption and precipitation, flocculent is formed quickly and coarsely with high activity, fast precipitation and obvious purification effect for high turbidity water.
