What are the uses of polyaluminium chloride

Polyaluminium chloride PAC is a cationic inorganic macromolecule flocculant consisting of polyhydroxy, polynuclear complexes. Strong bridge adsorption, accompanied by physical and chemical changes such as electrochemistry, condensation, adsorption and precipitation in the hydrolysis process, thus achieving the purpose of purification. It can degerminate, deodorize, defluoride, aluminium, chromium, degrease, turbidity, heavy metal salts, radioactive contaminants and has a wide range of uses in the process of purifying various water sources.

1. Sewage treatment

It can be used in printing, dyeing, leather, brewery, meat processing, pharmaceutical, paper mill, coal washing, metallurgy, mining areas, as well as in the treatment of wastewater containing fluorine, oil and heavy metals, daily sewage, chemical and industrial sewage treatment.

2. Mining Industry

Polyaluminium chloride flocculant has very good performance in mining industry. It is used for ore washing and mineral separation. On the one hand, it separates water from gangue and facilitates water reuse. On the other hand, polyacrylamide dewaters sludge generated.

3. Oil exploration

Polyaluminium chloride is the main material used as wastewater treatment in petroleum exploration. It is used as oil displacement agent, water shutoff adjuster, drilling fluid adjuster and fracturing fluid additive in petroleum exploration.

4. Paper industry

Polyaluminium chloride is mainly used for rosin neutral sizing precipitator and retention aid, filter aid, control of familiar barriers and as a trap for anionic impurities in the paper industry, in addition to being partly used for sewage and clean water treatment (paper making).

5. Textile printing and dyeing industry

Waste water from textile printing and dyeing industry is the fifth most difficult wastewater to treat due to its large amount of water, deep color and high content of organic pollutants. With the action of polyaluminium chloride, alum is solid and large in the process of wastewater treatment, with fast settling speed and obvious treatment effect. Polyaluminium chloride is also used for wrinkle resistance of leather and cloth.

6. Daily chemical industry

Pure white polyaluminium chloride is a product with high content in Polyaluminium chloride. It can be used for flocculation and precipitation of wastewater in daily chemical production. In addition, pure white polyaluminium chloride is also used as raw material or additive in pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

7. Aquaculture

Polyaluminium chloride (PAC) is used in aquaculture to effectively remove organic matter from water. When there is too much organic substance in the water body, first precipitate a large amount of organic substance in the water body by physical and chemical methods (e.g. using polyaluminium chloride), then add oxidizing bottom modifier, or use EM bacteria and photosynthetic bacteria, then implant new algae to accelerate the energy flow and material circulation in the pond.
