Which PAC is suitable for treatment and purification of drinking water

Polyaluminium chloride is used as coagulant, flocculant, coagulant aid and precipitator in sewage treatment, and mainly in industrial sewage and drinking water purification. However, in practical use, only PAC with aluminum trioxide content up to 30% can be used in drinking water treatment. So, it is also PAC. Why only PAC with content above 30% can be used in drinking water purification?

Aluminum polychloride with a content of 30% is made from aluminium hydroxide powder and calcium powder. Compared with common industrial polyaluminium chloride, it has the characteristics of low heavy metal content, less deposition, clear and transparent chemical water, and was generally used as agent before. With the improvement of water quality requirements and attention to the environment. -

Of course, 28 percent alumina (PAC) for sewage treatment and 30 percent polyaluminium chloride for drinking water treatment are commonly used. 30% polyaluminium chloride is better for use. Even if the water looks clear, 30 percent of PAC can still remove impurities. Normal sewage treatment is the same. According to the turbidity of sewage, the water with high turbidity is suitable for low content polyaluminium chloride. The treatment is not completely clean, but the cost is low. Low turbidity water requires cleaner treatment!

As long as the content reaches 30%, its heavy metal content can reach the standard of drinking water level. After treatment of drinking water with both 30% PAC, the heavy metal content in water can be guaranteed not to exceed the standard. However, after the treatment of low content PAC, the water quality of heavy metals must exceed the standard.

That is to say, for the consideration of domestic drinking water, the selection of drinking water should be polyaluminium chloride (PAC) with a content of more than 30%.
